Modelling Forums

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of modeling forums on the web, but most of them are pretty useless. Check out the recent postings. If you see one or two posts per week, then that forum isn't very active and probably won't get you much work, so concentrate your efforts on those forums with a lot of traffic. Before the model portfolio sites became so popular the "stand alone" forums were much more active, but many (if not most) of the older forums have closed due to lack of traffic or have become totally useless due to excessive spamming and lack of moderation.

These days the forums on many of the modeling portfolio websites are much more active than most "stand alone" forums and that they provide better contacts. Nevertheless it doesn't hurt to participate in as many forums as possible to maximize your chances of getting noticed.
