These websites usually offer free portfolio hosting for models, though some also have premium services for which a fee is charged. It's not a bad idea to join many sites. You really don't need to take out "premium" memberships to start with. Just take their free user option.You may get some paying work through them, but mostly they provide a source of photographers who will offer TFP/TFCD (time for prints or time for CD), where you get images at no cost in exchange for modeling services. Be sure to specify what type of modeling you are interested in as well as what types you are not interested in. If you do not wish to do nudes, say so clearly in your profile to avoid   confusion and work offers you may not be interested in hearing about.
